Jon Snyder of SRTR Receives Award from Association of Organ Procurement Organizations

2014 Executive Director’s Award. This award is provided to individuals outside of the OPO community, who have greatly influenced and impacted the work and missions of OPOs, and is given special recognition by the AOPO Executive Director, Elling Eidbo. The award was presented to Snyder at AOPO’s 31st Annual Meeting.

In front of a crowd of more than 800 meeting attendees in Baltimore, Eidbo announced that Snyder “has more than 14 years of experience analyzing data in the field of organ donation and transplantation, and has written and co-authored numerous abstracts and papers, and led many efforts to improve the analysis of donation and transplant data and statistics.” Eidbo went on to describe Snyder as a wonderful communicator, well-respected, and always proactively seeking opportunities for improvement.

Dr. Snyder currently serves as the Director of Transplant Epidemiology for the Chronic Disease Research Group of the Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He earned his Doctorate in Epidemiology and his Masters in Biostatistics from the University of Minnesota where he also holds an adjunct faculty position in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health.
