AOPO Launches New Video on the Donation Process
MCLEAN, VA., October 5, 2020 – The Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO), a leader in the organ procurement and transplantation community, announced the launch of an animated video outlining the donation process and the vital role of the Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs).
While 2.8 million people die every year, about 16,000 meet the criteria for organ donation and approximately 12,000 become an organ donor. “OPOs perform the life-saving mission and serve as the vital link between donors and patients waiting for life-saving transplants, making the gift of life possible,” says Steve Miller, CEO at AOPO.
Anyone can register to become a donor. You are never too old, too young, or too sick to help save lives. Register today at RegisterMe.org.
