In 2017 Alex overdosed. He was pronounced brain dead. I was asked by CORE if I would be willing to donate his organs. I was surprised, as I didn’t realize a drug user was able to donate. They were able to use both of his kidneys and liver and 3 men are now alive because of this gift.
