OPOs across the country will be honoring and celebrating Donor Heroes who have given the gift of life through organ, eye, and tissue donation throughout the month of April. Find information below on how to get involved with your local OPO.

Gift of Life Donor Program invites you to light a candle as we honor and celebrate donor heroes who have given the gift of life through organ, eye, and tissue donation. Recognize your donor hero by lighting a candle in their honor and sharing a photo on social media with the tag #DonorRemembranceDay and @donors1.

Donate Life AZ Donor Remembrance Day

“We’re cooking up some love and generosity! Join us as we meet the family of one of the donors featured in the first edition of the Donate Life Arizona Recipes of Remembrance cookbook. This Facebook Watch Party is to observe Donor Remembrance Day and to close out National Donate Life Month with a flambé. Grab an apron, keep some tissues handy, and help us warm the hearts of everyone touched by donation with a fresh meal and fond memories in the kitchen with our loved ones.”

lopa drd event

Join us at 12pm 4/30, live on LOPA’s Facebook Page for the LOPA Donor Remembrance Day Facebook Live Event. The National Donor Remembrance Day observance creates a way for us and our donor families, to stay connected and come together in remembrance of your heroes. LOPA will acknowledge donors by name and raise a flag in remembrance of all of our donor heroes and their families, who selflessly said yes to donation.

legacy of hope

On Donor Remembrance Day (April 30), Lifeline of Ohio will observe a moment of silence in honor of our heroes of donation. We invite our donor families, volunteers, and the community to join us that day to pause, reflect and remember the life and legacy of those loved ones who have given the gifts of life and healing. We will post a brief video on our Facebook page and will encourage others to share their loved ones’ or donor’s name in the chat. To participate, please visit our page at: https://www.facebook.com/LifelineofOhioColumbus.
